You Have the power

If the public would do these 3 things, puppy mills would not exist:

1.  NEVER buy a puppy from a pet store.  Never Never Never.  99% of those dogs are shipped in from puppy mills.

2. If you are open to a mixed breed, check your local shelter first.  Many amazing dogs are waiting for loving homes. 

​

3.  If you want a purebred dog or puppy, find a reputable breeder who welcomes visitors.  

That is the only way to ensure you're not getting your puppy from a puppy mill.  Puppymills will not let you visit their facility.  At he very least, do a FaceTime appointment with the breeder to see the puppy in real time before sending a deposit.  Getting a puppy is a 15 year commitment.  You have the right to see where your puppy was born and raised.
