When you purchase a puppy from us, we encourage you to come into our home to see where your puppy was born and has lived since birth.   We want you to meet the parents of your new puppy if at all possible.

A Shih Tzu is up to a 15 year commitment and deserve to be cherished.  We encourage you to evaluate your situation to make certain you are ready for a new pet and discourage anyone from rushing to purchase a ShihTzu on impulse.  Do your research and get to know the breeder of your new family member by asking questions. We offer a two year puppy replacement health guarantee as well as information to our new puppy owners on things such as how to keep your pet healthy before they are fully immunized,  house training tips, information on toxic plants and foods, as well as socializing information.  We know where there is affordable spay /neuter, affordable teeth cleaning, and can refer you to vets we trust (if you live in Arizona).
If you are looking for a Shih Tzu puppy, please beware of adopting a puppy from a breeder who refuses to let you see how your puppy has lived the first 8 weeks of their life. If you are not welcome in their home, there usually is a reason.

Often a breeder will insist their reason is for the health of the puppies. While it is very true that visitors can bring in diseases on their shoes, there are precautions a breeder can take to protect the puppies. This includes making sure all visitors take off their shoes upon entering the home, and sanitizing their hands before handling the puppies.

If you are not permitted to see where your puppy came from, it is possible it could have started out in a puppy mill.   The puppies that come from puppy mills have spent the first 8 weeks of their life in a cage with little or no human contact.  This, in fact, is where most pet shops get their puppies and why many people who buy from pet shops get puppies that are not in good health.

When picking out your new family member it is smart to do your research about the breed, and get references from any breeder you may be adopting your pet from. Not doing your homework could cost you and your family alot of money (vet bills) and heartache.
